Steve King, Sr.

As the Owner of Backyard Outfitters, Steve is revolutionizing the “backyard” industry. His experience as SVP of Retail Enterprise at Ashley Furniture, leading a team of 2500 people to become the largest retail furniture brand in the U.S., has empowered him to innovate the processes within the Pool construction industry in Florida.

In 1987, Steve began working for H&H Pool finishers in Pinellas County. In 2002, he started his own pool construction company in Central Florida and grew into a well-established custom pool company giving clients wonderful experiences in building their dream pools. He brings a wealth of innovation and design knowledge to each pool build.

Reina Craig

Reina is a business partner with Backyard Outfitters. Combining the knowledge that came from her previous work experiences, along with the abundance of knowledge learned from her husband, also in the pool industry, Reina is ready to take pool design to a new level. Reina is excited to showcase her creativity and passion for designing and building pools.

Michael Downz

Michael has over 18 years in outdoor improvements project management and project estimating. Michael’s Construction and Product knowledge along with 3D design proficiency has established himself with generations of of happy clients and a constant support of word of mouth referrals seeking him out personally to ensure the clients are catered to from beginning to end of their construction projects.. Michael has been into art design and drafting for over 40 years due to his passion for creating original Design Concepts.. Michael has successfully created company logos for multiple Businesses that are still being used today as well as Themed Pool Designs built such as The Batman Pool/ Horse Head/ Boxing Glove and a Bullet Pool.. He Prides himself on educating the client to make the best decision for their family and future with a permanent structures such a Swimming Pool.. “Quote” I want this Pool project more perfect than you do” he is always flattered and grateful when made responsible for your outdoor Improvement and shows this with his special touch at your first pool party gathering.

Geoff Menard

Geoffrey has been in the pool business for more than 25 years and specializes in brand new pool builds. He has managed pool builds for home builders and residential pool construction during that time. Geoff prides himself on excellent communication during construction. He has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of pool construction and is on-site regularly and walks clients through the process. Rest assured, he manages every aspect of the build and lets clients know what to expect at each phase. Geoff is married with two son’s and lives in Bradenton where he enjoys the Florida lifestyle.

Stephanie Hutton

Stephanie is a native Floridian who has three lively boys. As the dedicated office manager, she brings nearly five years of experience within the pool industry to the forefront. Proficient in permitting, crew scheduling, and fostering client relations. She is devoted to ensuring seamless operations with a professional touch. With six years of executive assistance under her belt and a decade of customer service expertise, her commitment lies in delivering superior experiences tailored to your needs.

Michael Lewis

Michael has over 14 years of experience designing, selling, and installing high-end outdoor living spaces. He loves using his creativity to dream up an amazing space for his clients that will add beautiful outdoor living elements to their home. Michael has a Management of Construction degree from Mississippi State University. He quickly moved out to Denver after school and started his outdoor living career with a small company. He has designed, managed and built millions of dollars worth of outdoor living spaces in the last 14 years. He prides him self in treating clients as he would want to be treated and truly wants to exceed their expectations on every aspect.

In his free time he loves spending time with his little girl and wife. He enjoys going to church, traveling, golfing, and playing his newfound hobby pickleball.
